Jobs for February

The Jobs for February you can look at for your High Density Garden.

  • Sow Broad Beans outside. These can be sown in deep cells or the middle of toilet rolls in an unheated greenhouse for an earlier crop
  • Sow early Brussels Sprouts indoors in cells
  • Sow Chili seeds indoors
  • Sow Herbs indoors in pots and cells
  • Sow Kohlrabi indoors in cells for planting later
  • Plant out Onion sets. Cover with nets to stop birds pulling them up
  • Sow round seeded Peas
  • Chit, or sprout, potatoes to get them ready for planting out later
  • Sow Radishes into your beds
  • Sow Spring Onions, outside and in cells for planting later
  • Plant out Shallot sets. Cover with nets to stop birds pulling them up
  • Sow Tomato seeds indoors.
Planting Fruit Trees.

You can start warming the soil mix in your High Density Garden beds using cloches or a plastic covering. This will help warm the soil mix which will benefit your plants and seeds when you get them into the ground.
