Finish planting fruit trees and bushes as these now need to start their growth spurt over then spring.

You need to remember that this is a good time to feed established fruit tress and bushes as the new seasons growth is due to start and your plants will appreciate the food.

This is a good time to prune your established blueberries. Remember that this years fruit will grow on last years growth so prune the old wood to keep your bushes fruiting well.

Keep your vegetable plot weed free as weeds will compete with your crop and also help to use the food in your soil mix.

You can start to use a seaweed extract on your soil mix. This will have the benefit of developing the soil food web and building up beneficial bacteria in your soil mix.

Think about warming the soil mix in your High Density Garden beds by covering the soil with plastic or cloches. This will help you plant some crops weeks earlier than normal.

Sow wild flower seeds near to your High Density Gardening beds. These will not provide you with food but will eventually encourage birds which will feed on the seeds from your wild flowers and also pests in your beds. Depending on the plants you are growing they also will encourage bees which some of your crops will need and other beneficial insects which eat the bugs you do not want to see.
